Receipt Bank is a Fintech SaaS that has led the way for a new era of smart bookkeeping. At the core of their service is an app that allows business owners and accountants to snap a photo of their receipts and intelligently scan all important info so that it can easily be turned into organised, automated financial data.
Realigning their voice to speak to small business users
Receipt Bank brought on a team of creatives and digital marketers – pairing me up with a Senior Designer – to restructure the face and voice of the brand for SMEs. Throughout Receipt Bank’s almost 10 year history they had almost only marketed themselves to bookkeepers and accountants, never focusing directly on general small - medium businesses.
We were to create new pages of web content, social campaign creative and refresh existing assets, with this renewed focus - getting rid of all confusing accountant jargon along the way!
During my time as Senior Copywriter at Receipt Bank I began to consult with the product team, who asked me to assist with the in-product UX copy and app store features. As these had been written for the technically minded finance industry, I conducted a full product audit and competitor research to give the Receipt Bank brand a friendlier, more modern, and accessible tone of voice for SMEs.
